A 100% Brazilian pure Origin Blend from Cerrado district (Minas Gerais state) and Espirito Santo state. It is enhanced by dulcet pulped natural Bourbon from Carmo de Minas and Pacos de Caldus (Minas Gerais state).
We worked closely with the farmers in Espirito Santo to enhance the typical cafezinho notes we were after through innovative harvesting techniques. These particular notes develop when cherries are in close contact with the high level of humidity in the air, so we asked farmers to only hand-pick those growing at a certain height and leave the lower-growing, less interesting cherries behind.
Cafezinho is the common name used by Brazilians to name their everyday coffee. It literally means "little coffee" in Portuguese. The capsule and sleeve capitalize on the bright colours of the Brazilian flag.
Espirito Santo beans are roasted separately for an optimal time as to preserve the herbal notes. The beans from the other regions are roasted together in a dark roasting mode and for much longer to engance body, intensity and bitter notes.
A pleasantly bitter and velvety-textured cup with unexpected walnut and sandalwood aromas and herbal notes reminiscent of thyme or rosemary.
